Bio

Diarmuid Ryan has been involved with web site development since the dawn of the web back in the mid 90's and has been fascinated with the power of the web to share information globally. I took an interest in web design back in 1996 and have been following the evolution of the web ever since. In 1998 I began my B.Sc in Computer Science and explored the powerful abilities of database integration and dynamic web applications and after graduation I gave several guest lectures on this topic in the University of Limerick outlining how websites can be an interactive experience rather than just serving static information. Working across europe on several high profile projects I gained substantial experience in server technologies and bespoke server applications. Projects included supply chain and retail management for BP Energy's european distribution network. While working in Cambridge I worked on server technologies for NetBanx online credit card gateway, Front magazine and Pop Idol websites amongst others.
