“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” (Clarke’s Third Law)
Arthur C. Clarke was one of the greatest visionary minds of our time. Envisioning technology in fiction and founded in firm science, loosely at any rate. Many of his ideas evolved to reality over time, such as communciations satelites which he saw 20 years before they were a reality. Indeed when you look at a movie like Space Odyssey: 2001, co-written with Stanley Kubrick, one can see how far ahead he was looking.
The post from the Google blog shows a short video recorded for Arthurs 90th birthday.
The man was one of the true great visionaries of the 20th century and second only to HG Wells as the greatest science fiction writer of all time.
