You can now access your account with Blue Star and pay online for all services in the future. Exisiting clients will have received an email with login details and can login at http://accounts.bluestar.ie

13/06/2009 - Added support for Bing search engine to Firetracker Analytics. Also FireTracker Beta now open to all users.
Stay tuned for many coming updates to FireTracker Analytics. We recently added Bing support to our application. We are currently in the process of adding further metrics and more advanced graphing features over the coming months. 03/10/2008 - Blue Star client website nominated for Golden Spider award.
A recently launched client website has been nominated for a Golden Spider award. The web site in question is Personal Newspaper Gifts.ie which has received a nomination for Best e-Business Website. Naturally both Blue Star and our client are delighted to be up for such a prestigious award. Personal Newspaper Gifts.ie provides novelty newspaper gifts whereby the customer logs in and chooses an article, edits 'hotpsots' on the page, can upload custom photo and purchase a print which they will received in the post framed or in a postal tube.

Our web-based email service has been upgraded and is available to clients using our hosted business email on request.

28/05/2008 - Customer Control Panel goes into Beta.
Our Customer Control Panel has just gone into Beta. This will allow our clients to view their account and services with Blue Star, including online payment for projects completed and renewal of domains, hosting and email services. The scheduled live date is for July 2008.

15/01/2008 - New spam controls on mail servers.
We have put additional spam controls in place on our mail servers to ensure to continued smooth service. As spammers continue to exploit new methods of clogging up our inboxes, it is essential to block them from being relayed.

03/12/2007 - Website development grants for SME's.
There are commercial grants for web development available for companies with 10 employees or less from the Dublin City Enterprise Board. This may help companies with tight budgets to ease the cost of setting up a web presence in the early stages of getting the core business up and running, start-ups in the Dublin region could really benefit from this opportunity.

Our Firetracker Analytics software has been updated to provide a full drill-down of visitor page views on web site, what pages were viewed, how many visitors and what links they followed through the site before they leave, along with percentage of exiting visitors per page.

01/12/2006 - FireTracker update, added page bounce rate for several reports
FireTracker Analytics has been updated to include bounce rates for pages on several reports, showing how many people leave the page without visiting another page.

28/11/2006 - Anti-spam filters refined with ASSP on email servers
All clients using our email services now benefit from an additional anti-spam mail proxy on our servers. We are using the powerful open source ASSP software to filter unwanted mail. If any clients are receiving mail from people they believe should be blacklisted please send an email to admin@bluestar.ie, forwarding the suspect message.

20/09/2006 - Gutenburg Online Publisher
Keeping a web site up to date can be a time consuming and costly task. While we have developed tools for clients to update various aspects of their sites we felt the need to bring this a step further. Gutenburg will be a fully fledged online content management solution, covering all aspects in the maintenance of a web site. We aim to have this project completed over the next two months.

15/09/2006 - Firetracker Analytics Upgrade - Remote environment reporting
As of any web application, this is in the model of the perpetual beta, most recent improvements include reports on remote user browser and OS. In the works are IP/domain exlcusion/grouping to filter traffic from appropriate sources and a rework of the conversion tracking system.

04/07/2006 - eShop e-commerce software moved into Beta status
We have developed our own in-house e-commerce platform after tiring of the third party solutions and open source offerings. Features include full catalogue management, order history, integration with PayPal and cheque payment as standard with the ability to integrate with other payment gateways also. Naturally, should our clients require a specfic shopping cart product for their site we are more than happy to integrate this with their website.
